Philanthropy

As an extension of her craft, and through the use of her voice and other talents, Karen volunteers her time and energy in a variety of ways. Recently, she has served as host and M.C. at fundraising events for The City College of New York (CCNY) and Harlem Congregations for Community Improvement (HCCI). For several years, she’s provided VOG (voice of god/live announcer) services for many non-profits in NYC at their annual galas.

From 2016-2021, Karen was a board member for Three and a Half Acres Yoga, a Harlem based organization which brings trauma sensitive yoga and mindfulness to underserved communities. Rounding out her philanthropic work, she recently served as a gala co-chair for the Broadway Mall Association, and looks forward to expanding her work with that group in the future.
